SINGAPORE: The Housing & Development Board (HDB) will launch three residential sites on Friday.

It said the 99-year leasehold sites can yield a total of about 1,670 housing units.

The sites are in Bishan Street 14, the junction of Sengkang Square & Compassvale Road, and Choa Chu Kang Drive.

The sites are being offered as part of the Government Land Sales Programme for the first half of this year.

HDB said the land parcel in Bishan, meant for condo housing, was first made available under the Reserve List on 30 November 2007.

Last Friday, a developer committed to submit a minimum bid of about $190 million ($189,831,390), so the land parcel will be put up for public tender.

The Government has placed 17 sites on the Confirmed List and 13 sites on the Reserve List for private residential development under the land sales programme for the first half of the year.

These 30 sites, which include four Executive Condo sites and two commercial & residential sites, can potentially yield 14,300 private residential units.
