Telco StarHub has apologised to customers who could not log on to the internet on Wednesday morning.
SINGAPORE: Telco StarHub has apologised to customers who could not log on to the internet on Wednesday morning.
It said those who turned on the cable modem for the first time on Wednesday morning experienced temporary difficulty in using the cable broadband service.
StarHub said its network engineers had been progressively restoring service for affected customers.
A caller to MediaCorp's hotline, Chong Wan Fei, said the broadband service was down at 6am.
Many affected subscribers expressed their unhappiness on the telco's Facebook page and community forum.
Most said they were upset with the lack of official updates or announcement for the outage.
StarHub said customers who called its technical support hotline were kept informed of the situation.
It added it had also been responding to customers' queries via social media platforms.
