Steve Chamberlin is a one true geek!
Well, that is nothing wrong being a geek or being geeky. Whats' the big deal? The interesting thing is that he had built the project: an working 8 bit CPU using just pure 7400 devices!
For those who took digital design or digital circuits or similar in their engineering courses would known that 74xx devices are IC chips and they are only capable of doing very simple digital logic like AND, OR, NOT, etc.
In fact, one of our projects, we (2 person group) had done something similar but in a much smaller scale and have to spent a lot of time and effort.
Well, this guy did the whole thing from ground up from design, simulation and actual wire-wrapping! The whole process took about 1 year! Wow!
