SINGAPORE: Singapore employees are more mobile than their global
peers. According to the 2010 Global Workforce Study, 51 per cent said
they are willing to switch jobs when opportunities arise compared to
just 33 per cent globally.
Survey findings also revealed that Singapore workers are more optimistic about the job market amidst economic recovery.
54 per cent of respondents believe there'll be more jobs available in the next 12 months.
However, employers shouldn't be unduly worried about a less loyal workforce.
The study showed that 81 per cent of employees desire job security and over half of them consider this achievable in their current organisation.
The survey polled more than 20,000 employees in 22 markets.
Among them, 1,022 workers are based in Singapore.
