SINGAPORE: Public transport operator SMRT has said a spitting incident at a Woodlands bus interchange on Tuesday is under police investigation.
The incident was captured on video and has gone viral. It shows a man spitting at two commuters in a dispute over the jumping of queue.
They were queuing for bus service 950 at the bus interchange in the evening.
Posting on its Facebook page on Wednesday, SMRT said its staff alerted the police at the onset of the incident at 9.30pm on Tuesday.
It said its security staff had intervened to guide the aggressor away while waiting for police to arrive.
The video has drawn a rash of online comments over the past hours.
