Notification about the Postal Code Change in South Korea
In 1st August 2015, South Korea government converted the current 6-digit postal code structure to a new set of 5-digit postal code. DHL has set up necessary measures as below for your convenience.
How to enter postal code when requesting pick-up: You can still use the 6-digit postal code together with the new 5-digit until the end of 2015 when requesting pick-up through DHL electronic shipping solutions (ex. MyDHL)
Recommendations: Both the existing 6-digit and new 5-digit postal codes are available in all DHL Express customer applications until the end of 2015. DHL has already established dual postal code system in order to reduce the impact of postal code change. However, it is highly recommended that you use the 5-digit postal code as soon as possible since the old postal code will expire on December 31, 2015. Only new 5-digit postal code can be used beginning 1st January 2016.
To avoid customs clearance delay and misclassification issues please use the new 5-digit postal code correctly.

BtoB's Ilhoon popularised the "Gwiyomi" song on a variety show (Youtube screengrab)Hot on the heels of the viral phenomenon that was PSY's "Gangnam" style are the new saccharine sweet 귀요미, or "Gwiyomi" videos - the latest infectious K-pop trend to hit Asia.
Those who can't stand anything cutesy or fluffy might want to stop reading now - the "Gwiyomi" singalong song drips with bucketfuls of Korean 애교 /"aegyo" (cuteness) sweet enough to cause a toothache.
But if you're still curious - check out this video of K-pop stars performing the "Gwiyomi" dance:
But what exactly is the Gwiyomi song about?
Its basically a cutesy song about a Korean girl's adorable love for her boyfriend and how she wants him to promise that they will be together forever (via a pinky promise), ending with six kisses - one for each finger and thumb.
The repititive lyrics mimic a child's nursery rhyme and go like this: "One plus one is cute, two plus two is still cute, three plus three is also cute, etc", accompanied by numbered hand signs.
Cutesy hand signs yet unknown to mankind appear as Gwiyomi video makers get creative and add their own spin on it - from pouting and cupping their chins to pretending to be cute bunnies and kittens. The more fluff, the better.

The Gwiyomi song first made it's debut early this year as a digital single by singer Hari but did not gain fame (or notoriety) until K-pop boyband BtoB rapper Ilhoon made his own rendition of the song-and-dance on variety show "Diary Many".
His video quickly went viral and soon, virtually every K-pop idol group member - from SNSD, Super Junior, EXO, and Miss A to Big Bang and Sistar had taken part in the craze as a "Gwiyomi Player"
The craze has caught on here in Singapore after sweeping Thailand by storm, with local bloggers making videos of their own versions of the Gwiyomi song.

Responses from netizens and K-pop fans have been mixed - with some saying that it's nothing new and others calling it a harmless fun fad.
"Maybe it seems a bit too cutesy in the Singapore context, but in South Korea, where it's very common for girl friends to be 'aegyo' and act adorable, its just a fun song that they perform for their boyfriends," said
K-pop fan Lesley Goh, 19, who enjoys watching the videos.
"Of course, you have to be cute - or you'll just be fail."
Wee Xiao Hui, 23, told Yahoo! SG that she felt it wasn't anything new.
"The Taiwanese have been doing cutesy numbered hand signs and expressions for since years ago - so this is nothing new. I'm sure people will get bored of it soon - especially if you're not a teenager," said the marketing manager.

It's no secret that she’s hot stuff.
Korean singer Hyosung proved her popularity when her recent foray into modelling lingerie became an overnight success.
The curviest member of K-pop girl group Secret had agreed to be the spokesmodel for Korean lingerie brand Yes in January.
Her pictures were unveiled last month as part of its online and print ad campaigns.
At a Secret press conference in town yesterday, ahead of the group’s concert here on March 29, Hyosung said: “Many of us are both sexy and cute, so I feel that we all suit both images.”

SEOUL: After Google chairman Eric Schmidt and former NBA star Dennis Rodman, the file-sharing site The Pirate Bay is claiming to be the latest unexpected visitor to North Korea.
In a posting on its website, The Pirate Bay, which was ejected from Sweden last week, claimed it had sought "virtual sanctuary" in North Korea, apparently at the personal invitation of leader Kim Jong-Un.
"Today we can reveal that we have been invited by the leader of the republic of Korea, to fight our battles from their network," the posting said.
The statement carried the website's logo of a pirate ship, whose mainsail had been coloured in the design of North Korea's national flag.
"It's a country opening up and one thing is sure, they do not care about threats like others do," it added.
The jocular tone of the post, and the mistake in referring to the "republic of Korea" -- the formal name for South not North Korea -- led some to suggest the website was playing a practical joke.
The blogging website North Korea Tech, said tracking Internet traffic from a PC to the Pirate Bay website did appear to show it flowing to North Korea's Internet gateway point.
"What happens after that is unclear," the website said Tuesday, adding that North Korea was unlikely to have the bandwidth volume needed by a site like The Pirate Bay.
The TorrentFreak website also found that The Pirate Bay was routing through a North Korean netblock, but suggested this was being used to hide Pirate Bay's true location.
"The cloud servers behind it are still believed to be hosted elsewhere in the world," it said.
Founded in 2003, The Pirate Bay -- which boasts more than 30 million users -- makes it possible to skirt copyright fees and share music, film and other files using bit torrent technology, or peer-to-peer links offered on the site.
It had hosted its website in Sweden for three years, before being forced out, and was believed to be looking at Norway and Spain as possible alternatives.
A domestic intranet was launched in North Korea in 2008, but is cut off from the rest of the world, allowing its very limited number of users to exchange state-approved information and little more.
Access to the full-blown Internet is for the super-elite only, meaning a few hundred people or maybe 1,000 at most, analysts estimate.

WASHINGTON: A satellite launched with fanfare last week by a defiant North Korea appears to be dead as no signal can be detected, a US-based astrophysicist who monitors space flights said Monday.
The United States and its Asian allies have acknowledged that North Korea succeeded Wednesday in putting an object into orbit that the communist state said was observing the Earth and airing patriotic songs.
Jonathan McDowell of the Harvard-Smithsonian Centre for Astrophysics said that the satellite was clearly in orbit but that no songs could be heard.
"To the best of our knowledge, the satellite isn't operating," he said.
"It's definitely up there and it's whizzing around, but it's just not feeling very well."
McDowell said it was unclear whether the satellite -- called the Kwangmyongsong-3 -- worked initially and that it remained possible that it was transmitting at a level too faint for detection.
But in another sign of trouble, McDowell said that the satellite was fluctuating in brightness. That means that the sun is shining at different angles and the satellite is not pointing down at the Earth as it should.
Even if not functioning, the satellite remains in orbit. The commercial site www.n2yo.com on Monday tracked the satellite as orbiting at least 505 kilometres (314 miles) above Earth, in line with North Korean statements.
"These things are hard to calculate, but roughly speaking, an object of that density at that height is going to stay up for a few years," McDowell said.
The state-run Korean Central News Agency last week quoted a scientist saying that the technology was "flawless" and that the satellite was broadcasting "Song of General Kim Il-Sung" and "Song of General Kim Jong-Il," references to the state's first two leaders.
The launch came days before the anniversary of Kim Jong-Il's death. His young son, Kim Jong-Un, succeeded him as leader of the regime, which conceded that an attempted launch in April malfunctioned.
The United States, South Korea and Japan all condemned the latest launch. Officials feared it was a veiled test for a long-range ballistic missile.
Pentagon spokesman George Little said that the United States was "still assessing" the North Korean object and that he was unaware of any danger posed.

SMTOWN Live World Tour in Singapore electrifies fans

SINGAPORE: It was a sell-out concert for the SMTown Live World Tour III last Friday.
About 25,000 tickets were sold with prices ranging from S$168 to S$268.
The star-studded show, which cost some S$5 million to put together, featured eight iconic Korean pop acts: Kangta, BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls' Generation, SHINee, f(x) and EXO.
Organised by Korean record label SM Entertainment, the concert was held at the Float@Marina Bay for the first time in Singapore.
The stage took more than 200 people and 96 hours to set up.
For local K-pop fans, SMTOWN might have well been the concert of the year.
There were earlier reports of fans who queued for days to get a good vantage point of the stars at the mosh pits.
"Even though you don't understand the language, you can actually follow the music," said a fan.
"I also love their songs, because it's catchy and fun to listen to and I never get bored listening to them," said 11-year-old Jannah, a fan of the artistes.
Some international fans had also travelled to Singapore to see their idols.
The stars themselves were thrilled to be in Singapore although they were one-and-a-half hours late for their press conference.
"It's been almost 10 years since I was in Singapore in 2003 for MTV Music Awards in Asia," said BoA. "So I'm very happy to be back in Singapore and I can't wait to see all of my fans, of course."
"I think Singapore is such a beautiful place and this is the first time for us here. We want to thank all the fans that came to the airport," said Kris from the boy band EXO.
Stars also shared their memorable experiences backstage, showing that preparations are not always all work and no play.
"Backstage, be it seniors or juniors, we'll always chat, and encourage each other in their performances," said Victoria, the leader of girl group f(x).
"There was once we had a chance to have a drink with our senior, Yunho (from TVXQ), and he got a little bit tipsy after a few drinks," revealed Super Junior member Donghae.
"After that, he did this dance move which was really fantastic, which we'll like to show you one day. It is not a charismatic sort of dance move, it is something you can't imagine him doing."
The mood was electrifying as fans screamed and cheered throughout the four-hour long concert.
The heavy rain towards the end of the concert did little to dampen fans' spirits.
The artistes performed a whopping 50 songs with slick dance moves and ended the concert by performing together and mingling with the fans.

"Gwanghae" reigns supreme at S. Korea film awards
SEOUL: A costume drama about a stand-in monarch has swept South Korea's domestic Oscars, winning 15 of the 23 awards up for grabs, including best film.
"Gwanghae: The Man Who Became King" - distributed internationally under the title "Masquerade" - also won a best actor gong for its star Lee Byung-Hun at the annual Daejong (Grand Bell) Film Awards on Tuesday night.
Lee won for his dual role as King Gwanghae, the 15th ruler of Korea's Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910), and the humble acrobat Hasun, who stands in for the monarch when he faces the threat of being poisoned.
The film, which also picked up best director, best supporting actor and best screenplay awards, was one of two Korean films this year to break through the 10-million ticket barrier at the domestic box office.
The other, "The Thieves", a star-studded casino heist movie shot in Macau, only managed one award - best supporting actress for Kim Hae-Sook.
And there was only a single prize for "Pieta", maverick director Kim Ki-Duk's gritty revenge thriller that won the Golden Lion - a first for a Korean production - at this year's Venice International Film Festival.
The movie garnered a best actress award for Jo Min-Soo, who won for her role as a woman claiming to be the mother of a brutal loan shark.
2012 looks set to be a record-breaking year for South Korean cinema.
The Korean Film Council recently announced around 120 million cinema tickets had been sold across the country by the end of the second quarter of 2012, a year-on-year rise of around 20 percent. - AFP
