Ex-DBS banker Melvin Teo to be next Yeo Hiap Seng CEO
Mr Teo will take over from current CEO Tjong Yik Min, 62, who is retiring with effect from Apr 30, 2015.
SINGAPORE: Yeo Hiap Seng Group chief executive officer Tjong Yik Min, 62, is retiring with effect from Apr 30, 2015, the soft drinks and property firm said on Monday (Dec 8).
Mr Tjong will be succeeded by former DBS banker Melvin Teo Tzai Win, 43, who will be appointed Executive Director and CEO designate with effect from Jan 1. Mr Teo will become Group CEO on Apr 24.
Mr Teo was President-Director at DBS Indonesia from October 2012 to November 2014. His previous roles at Singapore's largest banking group include China CEO and Head of Private Equity.
Mr Tjong joined Yeo Hiap Seng as president and chief operating officer on Jul 22, 2002 and became Group CEO on Apr 26, 2010.
