SINGAPORE: Dried seafood sellers who used to operate at Victoria Wholesale Centre said they have seen business dip by more than half since shifting from Bugis to their present location in Kallang.
The shift was made in April last year to accommodate the construction of the North-South Expressway.
Stallholders said business is bad as fewer customers are patronising the new premises.
The market's merchant association is introducing free shuttle bus services from Kallang MRT station to the centre next Saturday, in hopes that more people will turn up.
The association is also looking at turning the market into a one-stop shopping location for food and food-related items.
