SINGAPORE: Organisers of the PC Show 2009 say over 1.16 million visitors have shown up at this year's event.
Thousands packed Suntec Singapore on Sunday to cash in on last-minute bargains.
Products ranged from digital cameras, widescreen television sets, printers and even environmentally-friendly household items.
And despite fears that the recession might have dampened sales, exhibitors say demand this year is still as strong as ever, with cash registers ringing to the tune of some S$52 million.
The PC Show will return next year from June 10 to 13 at Suntec Singapore.
Business development manager of McCoy Isolution, Wesly Han, said: "I think generally we are faring slightly better... - about 20 to 30 per cent better."
Country manager of Achieva Technology, Danny Lim, said: "With the introduction of new products, new designs and also new trends, we are seeing more sales per session for this show."
