WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR 16 - 30 April 2009
In the second half of April 2009, the surface winds over Singapore and the surrounding areas are expected to blow predominantly from the southeast or southwest.
During this period, short-duration showers with thunder are expected between the morning and early afternoon on 4 to 5 days. In addition, widespread showers with thunder and occasional gusty winds are likely on 1 to 2 days in the predawn hours and early morning. The rainfall for April 2009 is expected to be near average.
As April is a relatively hot month, warm and humid conditions are likely to continue with temperatures reaching a maximum of 33 to 35 degrees Celsius on a few afternoons.
